Solar-Gem lights up Calmsley Hill City Farm

Two Solar-Gem solar powered LED lighting systems were instaled in time for the re opening of Calmsley Hill City Farm on 28th March 2010. The renewable energy lighting systems were installed to provide lighing in the barn areas and as a demonstration of the practical use of renewable energy.
The City Farm is an approximately 400 acre farm based attraction located less than an hour from the centre of Sydney's CBD catering to school groups and family outings.
Solar-Gem's CEO Khimji Vaghjiani says the Solar-Gem's lighting systems form a part of the City Farm's new Sustainable Learning initiative giving students and visitors a practical example of the uss of solar energy for off-grid lighting systems.


Solar-Gem is a sydney based commpany providing single-family solar-powered off-grid lighting systems to people in developing countries with no access to mains power. Providing lighting helps development by improving health, improving edcation, increased productivity and decreasing birth rates.
